Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church and God Feet Partner to Bring Shoes to the Needy
Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church has partnered with God Feet, a Christian shoe company to give shoes away to those in need.

WACONIA, MN, May 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- An estimated 3 billion people around the world lack the ability to afford the basic necessities of life, like protection for their feet. Many people may never have the opportunity to even own one pair of shoes. A small town Church in Minnesota has decided to stand up and be a voice for those in need.

Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waconia is starting a shoe drive this Sunday, which will run through the month of May. They have partnered with God Feet, a Christian shoe company dedicated to serving God and others while providing the needy with protection for their feet. God Feet's "Back 2 Church" program matches each pair sold. For every pair purchased, another will be given back to the church along with a $2 donation from God Feet for their mission teams.

Kimberly Pomeroy, a Church member is helping organize this shoe drive. "It is such an amazing gift to be a part of something more than our little community here in Minnesota.
