DirectRooms.com divulges that thousands of people are expecting to turn out to see a relic holding the Blood of Christ being carried through Brugge in June.

PHUKET, THAILAND, May 06, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Known as the Procession of the Holy Blood, the parade is said to feature its own miracle as the relic which is usually coagulated blood actually turns to liquid each year at the same time. The events are held annually on Ascension Day and for the procession around 3,000 people take part to perform plays and dances that filter down the streets.

Visitors can see scenes such as passages from the New Testament being recreated in the form of dance, people dressed as prominent Biblical figures such as the Virgin Mary and choirs will be entertaining audiences with classical pieces. Some of the procession's floats are carried along by horses who are also joined by geese and even camels to add to the many people.

Although crowds range from 60,000 to 100,000 people there is always a humble silence as the Holy Blood passes by each section. The event is even revered by bishops, nuns and priests who come from destinations worldwide to pay their respects.

People looking to attend the procession can see all the activities on 2nd June 2011 but places at any hotel in Brugge are likely to be limited with such large crowds.
