Pastor Roosevelt Parker Sr. Received a Doctor of Biblical Philosophy

ANNISTON, AL, February 2, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Pastor Roosevelt Parker Sr., Pastor for the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in spiritual counseling.

With over 8 years of experience at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Parker specializes in communication. As pastor, he is responsible for offering counseling services. He also visits the Mothers of the church, the sick and homebound, and he conducts two bible study and prayer meeting classes each Wednesday. Prior to his current position, Pastor Parker served as a deacon for 20 years, 10 of those years as chairman of the board. He also served as a deacon for 20 years, 10 of those years as chairman of the board. He also served over 20 years in the Navy, as a non-commissioned officer. He attributes his success to God, and the support he receives from his wife and family.

The recipient of a Doctor of Biblical Philosophy, Pastor Parker earned a Master's in Biblical Counseling. He is a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States, and a life member of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, where he served as President for 12 years. He gives out scholarships to two college students each years, gives jobs to children in his neighborhood during the summer when school is out, to give them something to do. Pastor Parker gives the children refreshments after school three days a week, and a reward for each "A" they make on their report cards. In the future, he hopes to help motivate children to become better citizens and serve society.
