Mary V. Garbesi brings many skills to the position of Director of Empowerment

SANTA MONICA, CA, February 2, 2010, Mary V. Garbesi, Director of Empowerment at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in group leadership and congregational care.

As Director of Empowerment at Brentwood Presbyterian Church, Mary V. Garbesi is responsible for assisting in the management of church ministries including congregational care, welcome and discovery, ans connecting, equipping and collaborating with elders and deacons to meet the personal and spiritual needs of the congregation. Mary has been a spiritual director since 2004. She is a certified labryrinth facilitator and celebrant and has made missions trips to Kenya, Louisiana and New York. She has been involved in her profession for many years, developing and honing her skills at First United Methodist Church of Santa Monica. Mary attributes her success to listening and people management skills. Spiritual growth is important in her life.

Ms. Garbesi received her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Loyola Marymount University in 1980.
