Dr. R.A. Powell has adopted a church in Uganda

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA, September 4, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. R.A. Powell, Jr., Founder, Entrepreneur, Pastor, Motivational Speaker for Monument of Joy Breakthrough Ministries, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in pastoral services and community service.

With 11 years of experience serving for the Monument of Joy Breakthrough Ministries, Dr. Powell specializes in mentoring. He is responsible for delivering motivational speaking, coaching on leadership development and teaching volunteers how to assist in the after school tutoring program. He has wanted to enter the field since he was a child and attributes his success to his commitment and faith in God.

Dr. Powell received his Doctor of Theology from Norfolk Seminary and Bible College and his Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Union University. He is a member of the Local Ministers Association, Ministers Alliance and God's Soup Kitchen. He is also the founder of the The Balm in Gilead, which is an HIV/AIDS, substance and emotional abuse support group. He received the Martin Luther King Award for Entrepreneurship in 2008 and has written a book entitled, "Pattern of Purpose - Discovering Who You Are." In the future, he would like to establish a Christian school and day care center.
