As the coordinator of religious education at St. Christopher's School, Ms. Pond is responsible for meeting parents and speaking to them about the sacraments, teaching four middle school classes on a daily basis, delivering audio/visual materials to the religious teachers, and coordinating with the pastor and principal on school events. A teacher for the past 35 years, she graduated from St. Christopher's School along with her siblings. In May 2010, St. Christopher's School will be celebrating its 60th anniversary. Ms. Pond's own children experienced problems in elementary school, which prompted her to become a teacher herself.
