Barbara J. Steen Honored for Accomplishments in Education
Barbara J. Steen is a recipient of the Teacher of the Year Award

HOLLYWOOD, FL, September 18, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Barbara J. Steen, Teacher at Sheridan Hills Christian School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.

With 25 years of experience in her field, Mrs. Steen specializes in teaching mathematics and reading. As a teacher at Sheridan Hills Christian School, she is responsible for conducting teacher's prayer and Bible reading sessions before class and teaching seven subjects to third-grade students. She always wanted to become a teacher and attributes her success to her faith in God and her ability to work with the parents of her students and share God's love with each student and their parents.

Mrs. Steen received her Bachelor's Degree from Carson-Newman College in 1963 and is a member of the National Teacher's Association and the Association of Christian Schools International. In 2006, she was honored with the Teacher of The Year Award from Zion Christian School. She intends to retire and become more involved with her husband's ministry and her two grandsons' lives.
