Julie A. Richards to Be Profiled in Exclusive Registry
Cambridge Who's Who honors Julie A. Richards for commitment to choir directorship
DAVISON, MI, June 6, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie A. Richards, Music Minister and Liturgist for St. John the Evangelist Church, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of religious service.
As a music minister, Ms. Richards is responsible for directing seven choirs, namely the St. John Faith Ringers, St. John Schola Cantorum, St. John Celebration Brass, St. John Celebration Choir, St. John Resurrection Choir, St. John Singing Angels Choir and St. John Kristal Bells. An expert in music and liturgy, she also leads five rehearsals a week, preparing choirs for singing at Parish liturgies, working directly with brides, grooms and grieving families, managing budgets, working on subcommittees, rebuilding the pipe organ and planning five liturgies a week for a congregation of 8,000. Ms. Richards studied in Rome and was exposed to the world view of American documents and other ministries. She attributes her success to the grace of God, her patience, education and her enthusiasm for her career.
Ms. Richards received her Master of Arts in Pastoral Theology from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2008 and is a member of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians. A recipient of the Alleluia Award, she hopes to remain at St. John and continue to serve the congregation.
