Veteran Licensed Professional Counselor Helps Military Members Regarding Issues Related to Post Traumatic Stress and Loss

LILLINGTON, NC, January 29, 2009 /24-7PressRelease/ -- William Powell, Therapist at Peace of Mind, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of counseling services.

Mr. Powell has 28 years of professional experience, having served as a trauma therapist at Peace of Mind, Inc. His areas of therapeutic focus are in trauma, complicated grief, adjustment, blended families, anxiety, depression and gender orientation. He also works with military members and their families regarding issues related to post traumatic stress and loss. In addition to his work with Peace of Mind, Inc., Mr. Powell worked at Family Services, Corning, NY and ran the Men's Batterers' Program for Steuben County, NY. He is an ordained minister and has served at the Free Methodist Church of North America for 21 years.

Strong faith in God is the key to Mr. Powell's success. A licensed professional counselor, he received his Master of Science in Education from the Graduate School, Alfred University in 1999 and his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is active in the local domestic violence consortium and his church.
