Tamara L. Smith Inducted into Cambridge Who's Who Executive, Professional and Entrepreneurial Registry
She is currently working on her first Christian novel on overcoming grief and finding hope again.
/Religion News Articles/ - Columbia, SC, September 14, 2008, Tamara L. Smith, Teacher for Richland County School District One, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in all aspects of education.
With nine years of professional experience, Ms. Smith specializes in teaching reading and writing and conducting reading programs. She is responsible for teaching second-grade students, including character development and mentoring. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in teaching. A 2007 nominee for the Teacher of the Year Award, she is currently working on her first Christian novel on overcoming grief and finding hope again. She attributes her success to her faith in God, hard work, passion for her profession and love for her students.
Currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Professional Counseling at South University, Ms. Smith received her Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from Columbia International University in 2000 and her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Columbia College in 1998. She is a member of the South Carolina Alliance of Black School Educators, and supports the United Way of America, the Second Harvest Food Bank and the Bible Way Church of Atlas Road. She aspires to complete her master's degree in professional counseling and continue writing Christian novels in the future.
