With more than 52 years of professional experience in the healthcare industry, Ms. Dacal-Teijeiro excels in motivating patients and is responsible for assisting, treating and educating debilitated patients. She became involved in her profession because of her interest in nursing. A 2008 recipient of the Marie Cartwright Nursing Award for Excellence in Volunteer Nursing from the Bradley Clinic, Ms. Dacal-Teijeiro attributes her success to the support she received from her mother. Prior to joining the Christian Clinic and the Bradley Clinic, she worked at the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital for 10 years, as a private duty nurse for nine years and a neurosurgical nurse for six years.

Ms. Dacal-Teijeiro became a Registered Nurse through Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in 1954 and is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. A volunteer for the Church of the Brethren, she aspires to write books based on her life experience, work on projects with her family and continue to volunteer helping immigrant families.
